Health Visitors are qualified nurses with special training in child health, health promotion and health education. They do not only work with the families of young children but with all age groups, advising and supporting in different situations.
They run several child health clinics in the area, some of which
are held within the GP practices. Others are held in large medical
centres throughout the Borough.
